Brent Online At Least Through January
 Dear Brent Family, It is now December, and we have no official word from the government on regulations for returning to in-person classes. With Christmas break approaching we feel it is important to give our families time to plan. The school will likewise need time to review any guidelines on returning to classrooms once those announcements are made. Furthermore, travel and family gatherings during the Christmas and New Year holidays increase the potential for spreading COVID-19, and make it prudent to include a time gap before any potential return to classrooms. Therefore, Monday, February 1, 2021 is now the earliest possible date for returning to in-person instruction. Whether or not we actually do return at that time is still dependent on future government regulations. I hope this helps in organizing the next few months. General Community Quarantine (GCQ)
Dear Brent Families, Now that we are back to General Community Quarantine (GCQ), several school employees will be on campus to assist in handing out materials starting Thursday, August 27. Please see the chart below for the day to visit Brent, according to the surname of your student/s. Please also check for any government announcements that may affect your schedule. One (1) representative of your family should come prepared to pick up materials that have been prepared for your student/s. At the same time you may return books and other materials, pay fees, or pick up Ganzas. Please take special note, students are still not permitted on campus as they are classified as youth and not permitted by the governing authorities to leave their household for non-essential reasons under GCQ guidelines.   In allowing individuals to come to school during this time we have developed strict guidelines to help deter the spread of COVID-19.    1.    No face shield, no entry. The IATF has made face shields mandatory. 2.    No mask, No entry. Wear face masks at all times. When wearing a facemask, make sure to wear, use, and discard it properly. 3.    Temperature checks. Temperature = / > 37.5 will be isolated and rechecked after 5 minutes. Individuals with a high temperature will not be permitted on campus. 4.    Practice social distancing. When in line, and whenever in the presence of others, keep at a distance no less than 1 meter from front, side, and back, at all times; 5.    Disinfectant. Step on the provided doormat with disinfectant before entering the school premises. Sanitize your hands often. 6.    Observe proper respiratory etiquette;  ·       Cough and sneeze into a tissue or into your shirt sleeve if a tissue is not available.  ·       Dispose of used tissues properly  ·       Disinfect hands immediately by properly washing with soap and water or alcohol-based sanitizer immediately after a cough or sneeze. Designated Days To aid social distancing, we have scheduled a 4-day period for each family representative to visit Brent to collect materials. You may also return materials, pick up personal belongings, or settle balances. The schedule is organized alphabetically beginning Thursday, August 27 and is subject to change pending government announcements. Please take note of your day and time to visit the school in the chart below. Materials distribution will be held in the Cafeteria and Atrium, depending on the school level.     Thursday August 27 Friday August 28 Tuesday September 1 Wednesday September 2 Morning (8:30-12:00) Surnames beginning with A, B Surnames beginning with G, H, I, J Surnames beginning with M, N, O Surnames beginning with S, T Afternoon (1:00-4:30) Surnames beginning with C, D, E, F Surnames beginning with K, L Surnames beginning with P, Q, R Surnames beginning with U - Z From Thursday, September 3 onward families may send a representative to Brent to pick up materials as they are able. Office hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm, closed for lunch, and adjusted as needed. Return of School Materials (Books, etc.) We will be utilizing the school cafeteria for collecting materials for those who still need to make returns. Please follow directions when you arrive on campus. Ganzas For returning students, the Ganzas are also ready for pick up. If you cannot send a representative to school for some reason, let the school level secretary know, and we will attempt to deliver materials at a later date. We are still assessing how best to support students outside of Metro Manila or the Philippines. Don’t worry if you are unable to get materials right away. Teachers will be able to run classes with only digital materials for at least the first two weeks, and we will be flexible as needed. 브렌트 스쿨 ELS 과정이해하기
​ 이엘스엘 (ESL)  과정 브렌트스쿨 입학시험을 치루면 합격할수도 불합격할수도 있습니다.아무래도 영어실력이 관건이 되는데요합격하더라도 이에스엘과정을 거쳐야된다는 조건부로 입학하는경우도 많습니다. 그래서 이에스엘 과정의 이해가 중요해서한번 정리해 보겠습니다.  ​이에스엘 과정은 총 5단계입니다. 1단계 비기너 (Biginner) 2단계 로우인터미디어트 (Low Intermediate)3단계 하이인터미디어트 ,(HIgh Intermediate)4단계 어드벤스 ( Advanced )5단계 서포트 ( Support )이렇게 나누어집니다. 브렌트 국제학교 입학을 희망한다면 테스트를 봐야되는데요MAC 2 ( The Maculates Axxessment of competencies ) 는 영어가 모국어가  아닌 학생을 대상으로 치루는 영어평가 시험입니다. 이를 통해서 위의 5단계로 나누어지게 됩니다. 상식적으로 생각해보면 학년이 낮으면 영어레벨이 좀 낮아도 이해가능할것이고고학년으로 입학한다면 영어레벨이 높아야 할것입니다. ​그래서 학년별 입학요건도 다르답니다. 초등학교 ( Grade 1_5) 경우 비기너 레벨일지라도 입학이 가능합니다.누구나 가능하다는것이죠.. 중학교 (Grade 6)  중학생의 경우는 로우인터미디어트레벨이 되어야만 입학이 됩니다.  이단계에서는 학생은 컴푸터, 수학, 체육, 미술, 음악과목은 정규과정으 로 수업을 할수있고 영어과목은 이에스엘 과정으로 진행됩니다. 중학교( Grade 7-8) 경우는 하이인터미디어트 3단계를 통과해야지만 입학이 결 정되어 집니다  이경우도 위와같이 푸터, 수학, 체육, 미술, 음악과목은 정규과정 으로 수업을 할수있고 영어과목은 이에스엘 과정으로 진행됩니다. 고등학교 ( Grade 9-10)  어드벤스레벨 즉 4단계 레벨이 되어야지 입학이 가능 하고 수업의 내용도 힘들어지기 시작합니다. 고등학교( Grade 11) 서포트과정 즉 5단계 레벨이 되어야지 입학이 가능합니다.아이비과정도 준비해야 되고 실제적으로 이때는 영어권 학생의 전학은 가능하지 만 한국에서 바로 와서 적응은 불가능합니다. 저 학년일 경우 입학이 쉽고 또한 적응이 쉽습니다.고학년으로 오셨을경우 실패하는것도 많이 보았습니다. 고학년으로 입학할때는 실패하는것 보다 학년을 1년 늦게 하는것이 더 좋을수  있습니다.

​2017년 2월 17일은  브렌트 필드데이 였습니다.  필드데이가 뭐냐면요 우리나라 운동회 라고 생각하세요.. 여기는 블루 레드 엘로 3개로 팀이 항상 나누어져 있습니다.​보이시죠...독수리. 매....등등...학생들은 달리기 수박먹기 기타등등 겨루고..보모들은 도시락을 싸가져 와서 같이 먹습니다.에이플러스 주니어 학생들은 다 레드입니다.​  매니져형이 구경왔네요^^  7학년학생들이 웃고 있습니다.​ ​귀엽죠^^​에이플러스 주니어 학생들 .....​캘리포니아 롤..아닌가요?? ​관리선생님도 오셨네요맛있는 점심을......400미터 달리기오늘 운동회 하기 딱 좋은 날씨네요^^
