Japan’s Nikkei 225 index surpasses 40,000 for the first time
The 225-issue Nikkei stock average continued its rally on Monday, surpassing the 40,000 mark for the first time and setting a new intraday record on the back of enthusiasm from global investors.
The market opened at 40,201.76, before reaching a high of 40,314.64 just before 11 a.m. The market closed at 40,109.23.
닛케이225 평균주가(닛케이지수)는 글로벌 투자자들의 열광에 힘입어 월요일 처음으로 4만선을 돌파하며 장중 신기록을 세우며 상승세를 이어갔습니다.

Apple hit with landmark $2 billion EU antitrust fine
The European Union has fined Apple €1.84 billion ($2 billion) for breaking its competition laws.
유럽연합(EU)은 경쟁법 위반으로 애플에 18억4000만 유로(20억 달러)의 벌금을 부과했습니다.
Apple banned app developers from "fully informing iOS users about alternative and cheaper music subscription services outside of the app," said the European Commission, the 27-nation bloc’s executive arm and top antitrust enforcer.
Apple은 앱 개발자가 "iOS 사용자에게 앱 외부의 대안적이고 저렴한 음악 구독 서비스에 대해 충분히 알리는 것"을 금지했다고 27개국 블록의 집행 기관이자 최고 독점 금지 집행 기관인 유럽 위원회가 밝혔습니다.
“For a decade, Apple abused its dominant position in the market for the distribution of music streaming apps through the App Store,” said Margrethe Vestager, the European Commission executive vice president who oversees competition policy.
