    World's first 'artificial womb facility' is a creepy glimpse of pregnancy in future

     

     

     

    On Friday (December 9), a filmmaker and science communicator by the name of Hashem Al-Ghaili released a concept video of an artificial womb facility called Ectolife.

    The said video claimed that it is the first-of-its-kind facility where 30,000 babies can be grown in a year’s time. It further added that the facility is powered by renewable energy, consisting of solar and wind.

    해당 영상은 1년에 3만 명의 아기를 키울 수 있는 최초의 시설이라고 주장했습니다. 또한 이 시설은 태양열과 풍력으로 구성된 재생 가능 에너지로 구동된다고 덧붙였습니다.

     

     

    As per the concept video, Ectolife has 75 labs with each having the capacity to accommodate upto 400 artificial wombs (also called growth pods). The facility uses artificial intelligence to monitor and cater to the growth of individual babies.

    According to the Ectolife video, prospective parents must provide their eggs and sperm for in-vitro fertilisation. They will be provided with the option to choose viable traits, screen for birth defects, and produce ‘genetically superior embryos’ (embryos that are devoid of genetic issues).

    You can use the "Elite Package," which would let you engineer the embryo genetically before they implant it into an artificial womb. You can choose intelligence, height, strength, hair, eye color, etc., and avoid genetic diseases. Hashem says EctoLife is entirely powered by renewable energy and is the first artificial womb facility in the world.

Although Korea and Japan are far from the main dust sources, they are directly impacted by the dust. Originating in the deserts of Northern China and Mongolia, Yellow Dust is whisked into the atmosphere by strong winds and carried to the Korean Peninsula via the jet stream. Other than reduced visibility, when the dust arrives it brings along industrial pollutants (like pesticides), viruses, fungi, bacteria, and even heavy metals, none of which are good for respiratory health. Healthy people can develop sore throats and dry eyes, and children, the elderly, and people with previous respiratory health conditions are advised to remain indoors. TikTok is a social app used to create and share videos, to put it simply.
